Serbian ambassador to Tehran maintains that Islamic Republic and Serbia can widen their cultural bonds through an interface between the poets of the two nations.

Alexander Tasic was interviewed by the press office of the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair Tuesday, on the seventh day of the landmark cultural event.

He said there were poor records of book reading among the Serbian young generation as they find price tags on publications too high to afford. The Serbian envoy added however that the government as a remedy to the low reading aptitude gets certain titles published through newspapers after getting the consent of original publishers.

Mr. Tasic said with Iran-Serbia friendship association up and running, the two sides can widen mutual exchanges in the field of poetry and authorship and that there are ample such commonalities between the two nations.

The ambassador, who was caching his first glimpse of an edition of the international event, said the titles on stands carried affordable prices, adding that a likely IRI presence in an upcoming Belgrade book fair would allow the fair's inspectors to find invaluable titles up for grab at affordable costs.
