Over 2m enquiries at information centers across TIBF fairground

Visitors to the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) have collectively made more than 2 million enquiries in seven days at information offices situated across the fairground in Imam Khomeini Mosalla (grand mosque), north of Tehran.

 

The visitors have made their enquiries through telephone lines or the Internet or have turned to the information centers in person, receiving data or maps of pavilions, Dariush Motallebi, director of TIBF information department told the book fair's press office Thursday.

 

The website of the landmark cultural event, available at www.tibf.ir has received up to 501,000 hits until the end of the seventh day of the 10-day event, the director said.

 

Clerks deployed at information booths across the fairground too have taken and responded record 7,271 telephone calls during the period, Mr. Motallebi added.

 

Visitors to the 24th book fair have also obtained over 620,000 maps of fairground at information booths, he added.

 

The 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair is set to wrap up work on Saturday, May 14.
