Iran's stand in Frankfurt Fair to host 18 publishers

CEO of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) Amir Mas'oud Shahram-Nia said that 18 Iranian publishers and 5 publishing unions will be hosted by the national stand in the 70th Frankfurt book Fair.
According to the public relations office of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute, Shahram-Nia described Iran's participation at the 70th Frankfurt Book Fair, which is scheduled for October 10-14: "Like previous years, the national stand of Iran has been established by ICFI in cooperation with local publishers and publishing unions in a stands which measures to 222 square meters."
On Iran's national stand in this edition of FBF, he said: "The stand has been decorated and set differently by drawing on Islamic designs and colors. The arrangement of the stand is in a way which provides an independent space for any of the Iranian publishers and publishing unions. Also, the best books by the unions will be displayed in especial smaller stands as well as the main stand."
"18 publishers, 3 literati agencies and 5 publishing unions as well as the Iranian cultural attaché to Germany will be active in our stand," Shahram-Nia added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, CEO of ICFI explained about the independent participation of a number of Iranian publishers in the national stand: “Regarding the call issued last May by Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute, some publishers expressed their readiness for independent participation in this stand, in addition to three literary agencies, Pol, Tamas and Kia."
Referring to the FBF stand of children and young adults books which is set up next to the Iranian stand, Shahram-Nia said: "This year for the first time, the special stand of books for children and young adults of Frankfurt Book Fair which is run by the Association of children and young adults books publishers, has been established adjacent to our stand. The latest books released for this age group will be displayed there."
Over 1200 publishers of books for children and young adults will attend the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair. Iran’s Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (ICIDCY) which also participate in the event, tries to introduce and present its own books and interact with the publishers from other countries for copyright trade.
