Postal Service offers ad-hoc services in Tehran Book Fair

3 post offices have been established across the Tehran Book Fair's fairground, according to Director General of Tehran's postal district 15, who also said 6 tracks and 2 pick-ups have been deployed for shipment affairs.
Mohammad Hasan Beigi said the a post office for shipments of international section and references section was situated next to gate of entry in Shahid Beheshti Street while a post office for the marquee of children and youngster publishers has been set up on the northern side of Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque, the venue of the fair.
A central post office to serve visitors opposite the grand mosque's veranda caters to most postal service demands in the fair.
Hasan Beigi said besides the 6 tracks and 3 pick-ups, an additional carrier service will serve in-bound shipments across the capital, Tehran.
The director said maximum duration for an in-bound service outside Tehran ranged from 24 to 36 hours, depending on related distances.
Beigi also noted that this year's edition of fair has witnessed no rise in postal services fees compared to previous edition.
He said shipments weighing over 30 kilograms would be packed in separate packages, adding that visitors need not worry as no rise in fees will take place.
Meanwhile, Tehran's postal district 15 issued in a first has issued a memorial stamp to mark the 23rd Tehran International Book Fair.
Also personal and public stamps are up for grabs in the book fair at half-price of 30,000 rials.
