A replica of the former Lolo Square monument, the historic symbol of the Bahraini people's rightful resistance against the Al Khalifa regime, has been mounted in the hall of foreign titles in the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair.

The mock-up has been built by students from Tehran Ilm & San'at (science and industry) University in commemoration of the historical, ongoing uprising of the Persian Gulf Island's population, Bahman Dorri, Chief Executive of the landmark fair told the TIBF press office.

He made the remarks while making a join inspection to the pavilions by senior Iranian parliamentarian Qolam-Ali Haddad A'adil on Sunday evening.

The original monument was demolished and razed on March 19, 2011 by armed forces loyal to the Al Khalifa regime in a desperate, futile move to frustrate the ever widening popular movement.

In another regard, Mr. Dorri told the press office that the 24th edition was witnessing a 20pc increase in the number of inspections paid to the event year on year.
