Four continents connect to one another at Tehran Int'l Book Fair - Brazil envoy

Brazilian ambassador to Tehran said Tehran International Book Fair connects the four continents and helps open the doors of interaction and exchanges between Brazil and the Islamic Republic, the book fair's press office reported Thursday.

 

Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado made the remarks after paying a visit to the 24^th edition of the landmark cultural event.

 

The Brazilian envoy said the book fair offers ample capacities to both sides to expand the levels of their bilateral sides and open their gates to one another in cultural spheres.

Salgado attached high significance to the status of the cultural event and promised to encourage top publishers of his country to join the next edition of the book fair (TIBF 2012).

 

The envoy said the two nations enjoy a rich literature which may be further enriched through an exchange of literary works and themes with one another. He wished for translation of major Iranian publications into Portuguese, the official language of Brazil.
