Andras Sandor, the chairman of Hungarian Publishers and Bookstores says, "Iran and Hungary can have a good collaboration in the field of illustration of children's book illustration."
Pointing to his visit to the 30th Tehran International Book Fair, the chairman of the Hungarian Publishers and Bookstores stated, "I really appreciate inviting me to attend this book fair. I am really astounded by the vastness and crowd of the book fair. Each year, I visit many book fairs but the vastness and order of this one is really interesting to me."

He added, "In my visit to the TIBF, I noticed that the book printing quality in Iran is very high; especially in the field of book binding, I felt that Iranian experts are doing quite well."
In reply to a question about the collaboration capacities among the two countries, he said, "In a meeting with the director of the TIBF, I stated that Iran and Hungary could have a good collaboration in the field of illustration of children's books, particularly given the fact that also in Hungary this line of books are preferred more than others for translation. So they will be of more priority in starting a collaboration. I hope that we can come to a clear result in this regard."

Regarding the commonalities between the children and young adult literary works in Iran and Hungary, Andras Sandor said, "Paintings and illustrations in the Iranian children's books are very attractive to me. The tone of these illustrations as well as their messages is are very interesting and therefore, this can be a common activity between us. Also in Hungary, illustration for children's books is very important and this year in Bologna Book Fair, we could have a high ranking in this field. I have traveled a lot and I came the very conclusion that everywhere in the world, smiles, passion and friendship are the same, and all of them must be regarded as humanistic values. Therefore, when books are a medium to introduce such concepts, they will be welcome all over the world."

Regarding current status of publishing industry in Hungary, he said, "In Hungary, apart from the educational titles, between eight and nine thousand titles are published annually. The educational titles are published by the government and the rest are published by the private publishers. We have around 400 publishers, twelve of which are much more powerful and 50% of the whole publishing turnover is dedicated to them."
