Top works of 30 renowned Iranian illustrators of children publications are on show in the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair inside a special pavilion, titled "Naqsh-e Ro'ya" (lit. impression of dream), the book fair's press office reported Wednesday.

120 tableaux are on stalls in the pavilion illustrating different themes available in children publications nationwide, Neda Azimi, a director of the pavilion, told the press office.

The special show aims to make the public familiar with Iranian illustrators and the art of children book illustration, the director said, adding that two works by late renowned Iranian illustrators, Ali A'amekan and Ali Namvar are on show in the pavilion. They passed away last year.

The works on stalls have already grabbed international literary awards and come on show for the first time through a joint drive by Iran World Book Corner and Iran-based Eve Literary Agency. The illustrations depict scenes from ancient Iranian tales, including Shahnama, the masterpiece of Ferdowsi.

The 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair runs until May 14.
