Indian Corp.: Tehran Book Fair one of the bests in the world/ we respect copyright issue

“We have an exhibition in India, but the number of attendees at the Tehran Book Fair is more than the participants in our country”, the responsible for the India booth at Tehran book fair said.

The employee of the “Supply Trading Corporation” added that book fairs are always a base for publishers and activists in this field for the prosperity of their businesses. For this reason, book fairs are held all over the world.

What is your assessment of the 34th Tehran Book Fair?

In my opinion, Tehran Book Fair is one of the best book fairs in the world, because it has many visitors who swarm to the fair. We also have an exhibition in India, but the number of attendees at the Tehran Book Fair is more than the participants in our country.

What do you think about copyright exchange?

We are book importers and we sell books. We are not a publisher that enter in the copyright field. In our opinion, this issue is related to the government category that the Culture Ministry can have some laws. In general, we respect the copyright issue.

What are the works to offer in 34th Tehran Book Fair?

We have been participated in Tehran book fair for about 22-23 years. We are offering the books in fields of humanities, religion, librarianship, and agriculture, technical and engineering courses and, for the first time, medicine courses for universities and colleges.

What do the exhibitions like Tehran Book Fair can help publishers to expand their business?

The exhibition is always a base for publishers and activists in this field for the prosperity of their businesses. For this reason, book fairs are held all over the world.

What is the role of book in the cultural diplomacy & development of cultural ties between countries?

It plays an important role for book lovers as it makes a scientist people. It also plays a significant role in the cultural diplomacy of countries and the development of relations between nations, and makes the people of countries more familiar with each other's culture.

We, who work in the field of textbooks, can get acquainted with the language and culture of India, and this will increase the exchange between Iran and India, while encouraging people to continue their education.

The 34th Tehran International Book Fair with the slogan “the future is to be read” started on the 10th of May and will continue until the 20th of May 2023 in the Mosque of Imam Khomeini and simultaneously on ketab.ir.
