Ayatollah Khamenei inspects 24th Tehran International Book Fair

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei paid a three-hour visit to the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) Wednesday and browsed a number of books on the stalls of top domestic publishers.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei browsed latest publications in different socio-cultural and political domains, including several best sellers in the book show. He also talked with several pavilion keepers and made a first hand assessment of the status of domestic publication.

 

Following the inspection, the Islamic Revolution Leader told a group of top domestic publishers that the paper vehicle of thought was an indispensable construct of every society, deserving a serious attention. Ayatollah Khamenei said in the past few years, national publication has improved in terms of quality, edition and diversity of topics however there is still a track ahead until the nation strikes favorable records.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei was appreciative that the Iranian authors were growingly adopting wider visions in their works and that several top notch pieces of writing were penned in the span of a few months. He said the quality of domestic publications would even more improve by further investments.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei said the country's progress was bound to an increasingly developed publishing sector. In the same regard, he urged the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and other state bodies as well as devoted personalities in the society to recognize the significance of the issue and treat the question of publication more vigorously.
