Publications containing "A-R-A-B-I-A Gulf" misnomer removed from stalls

Several publications containing or promoting the "A-R-A-B-I-A Gulf" misnomer were removed from stalls in the 24^th edition of Tehran International Book fair (TIBF), the book fair's press office reported Wednesday.

 

The publications were on show in the international section of the book fair, it added.

 

The removals were made public by the TIBF Chief Executive, Bahman Dorri during a talk with Muhammad-Reza Mir-Tajodini, presidential deputy in parliamentary affair.

 

The chief executive said, during the talks, that an amount of 20 billion rials (≈ $2m) was earmarked in the form of electronic vouchers for book sales by university students in the 24^th book fair and that publishers in the book show were required to offer their titles at minimum 10pc discount to visitors.
