IRI parliament speaker inspects 24th Tehran International Book Fair

Speaker of the IRI Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) Ali Larijani inspected the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair on Friday, the tenth day of the major international cultural event, the book fair's press office reported.

 

Mr. Larijani visited the book fair's ad hoc hall of publications and was briefed on the latest titles on stalls as well as latest statistics and data on the status of domestic publications in 2010.

 

The ad hoc hall hosts a number of themes, including university dissertations and publications on the lifestyle and attitude of Hadhrat Fatema (S.A.) (the noble daughter of last messenger of God), top publications of nationwide literary festivals, top publications of national religious schools, and top translations of the Holy Koran.

 

The parliament speaker was accompanied in the visit by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Sayyed Muhammad Husseini, the minister's parliamentary deputy, Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali-Akbar Mas'udpour, Chief Executive of 24th Tehran International Book Fair, Bahman Dorri, as and directors of several publications.
