If the events of Islamic Revolution, especially developments related to the past are not kept in the form of publications, the future generations would know little about them, a senior aide to Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei alerted Friday.

Ali Akbar Velayati, senior aide to Ayatollah Khamenei in international affairs, made the remarks to Iran Book news Agency (IBNA) while inspecting a pavilion of Assembly of Islamic Revolution Publishers, established in the 24th edition of Tehran International book Fair.

Mr. Velayati urged the assembly of publishers to undertake to record the events and developments of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, adding that the revolution had already passed through several touchy junctures and that it was a must to keep log of such sensitive developments.

The aide thanked the pavilion directors for their efforts in having the Islamic Revolution history recorded by prominent Iranian authrors, adding however that further efforts were needed to safeguard and pass the values and experiences of the Islamic Revolution to the posterity.

Mr. Velayati deplored that parts of history of Iran remained unknown to current generations due to a sloppy handling on the part of historians of the past historical developments and events.

Senior aide to IR Leader in international affairs described the Islamic Revolution as a point of departure for the reconstruction of the Iranian-Islamic identity of the nation, adding that the future is going to be built based on the experiences of the past and for the same reason, it was imperative to keep records of the present and past developments of the Islamic Revolution.

Also an author of history books, Mr. Velayati then paid a visit to the pavilion of Amir Kabir Publication situated in the hall of domestic publishers where he led a ceremony for unveiling of his latest work in history.

"Bareqe-haye Afta'ab" (rays of sunlight) is a 6-volume book, offering biographies of some 110 personalities selected from the Iranian history who were proved much helpful in the development of Islamic culture and civilization in the land of Iran.
