With a plan of pavilions finally drawn up for the marquee of foreign publishers, foreign applicants start to receive their book fair spaces as of Wednesday, April 28, 2010, Deputy of international department in the 23rd International Tehran Book Fair said.

Up until now, necessary visas have already been acquired for 80 guests and 100 publishers to the foreign section of the book fair, Ali Alipour told the press office of the book fair.

He called on all applicants to the foreign section to contact with relevant officials on Wednesday April 28 at the book fair venue in Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque for a delivery of their pavilions.

He noted visas of other publishers or guests to the book fair will be at hand before the book fair launches work.

Alipour asserted that all organizers, pavilion staff and authorities in the foreign publishers section must carry ID card during their travels in the foreign marquee. The deputy said ID cards were issued for 70 percent of the applicants and the rest had yet to submit necessary documents. However, all cards would be ready before the book fair opens doors.

23rd International Tehran Book Fair opens on May 5, 2010 at Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque north of Tehran. The major event runs until May 25.
