Ali Reza Eftekhari, the renowned Persian soul singer, placed a premium on status of publications in social life and said that a book fair is a place to offer the premium commodity and to host educated and book-loving individuals.
The singer said the practice of book reading confers insight, imagination and movement on human being and makes it resourceful.
"I'm pleased to see a surge in publication edition these years around and that the venue of Tehran book fair becomes packed with book enthusiasts and cultured individuals every year around," he said.
Eftekhari has authored a book titled "Felons of Music" which broaches immoral conduct and piracy in music industry and his bitter memoirs of his work with certain musicians. The work is currently completing pre-publishing bureaucratic procedures, including necessary permissions.
