First VEEP vows more state attention to print and publishing sector

First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi has spoken of an upcoming formation of several working groups in the cabinet which are commissioned with the task of promotion of print and publishing activities.
Rahimi was speaking to a press office of a 23rd Tehran International Book Fair on the sidelines of an inaugural ceremony of the major cultural event.
The vice president said the Tenth Administration has a major regard for cultural affairs, adding that the cabinet has decided to establish several working groups in a bid to boost quality of paper and remove the problems of the print and publishing sector and its affiliates.
Rahimi in another regard forecast a wider welcome to the book fair than previous editions citing notable involvement by foreign publishers and a boost in the number of titles and volumes in the international event year on year.
"In the Tenth Administration, we will take larger strides bicultural affairs," Rahimi said, adding that the government has planned to expand such large book fairs to provinces in a bid to extend the cultural advantage to people nationwide.
