Senior aide to IR Leader in international affairs suggested a wider cooperation between domestic publishers and their foreign counterparts.
Ali Akbar Velayati made the suggestion during a visit by foreign publishers to pavilion of Nations Culture House, run by the aide.
Velayati said a presence of foreign publishers sets the stage for an international exchange of ideas.
He also singled out translation as a major issue to be tackled by the book fair's international department, arguing that once a translation movement is commenced, nations will widen cultural exchanges, offering a vehicle of expression to the Iranian content.
Touching on his newly published work, "dynamism of Islamic and Iranian culture and civilization," Velayati said he was encouraged to author the book taking into account the denial of Islamic culture and civilization by several foreign historians.
The book is available in two volumes and has received a warm welcome.
A ceremony to unveil the publication was staged on May 9 in the pavilion of Nations Culture House with foreign publishers at hand.
