Alim described unremitting TIBF events as a major feat for IRI cultural system

A prominent Iranian Alim believes that the Islamic Republic’s ability to stage 25 consecutive editions of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) without any break was a convincing proof that the country enjoyed a successful cultural apparatus.
Ayatollah Hassan Mamdouhi, representative of the eastern Iranian Kermanshah city in the IRI Assembly of Leadership Experts was speaking to the TBF press office during an inspection of the book fair in the fourth day of the 10-day landmark cultural event.
The prominent Alim said the TIBF event has several major functions. “It informs visitors about latest publications, helps them get familiar with top national authors and motivates them to spend more time reading books.
Ayatollah Mamdouhi believed that people were not visiting the major international event just for the fun of it rather they were purposeful and were seeking to satisfy their interests through the content put on stands. He thanked the TIBF authorities for providing the opportunity.
The leadership expert described books as an effective conduit for promoting awareness among the public about social and political developments, adding that people must be let known that the sit5uation has changed in the world.
“Some individuals maintained in the past that the reigns of world were in the hand of global colonial powers; today however people have got independent intellectually worldwide. They no longer accept any other individual as custodian of their affairs and wish to run their affairs on their own,” the prominent Alim said.
Following the inspection, Ayatollah Mamdouhi met and talked with the TIBF President Bahman Dorri.
