Friday prayers leader lauds TIBF programs for promotion of ‘Islamic Awakening’

Interim leader of Tehran Friday prayers services Ayatollah Emami Kashani appreciated the authorities of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) for their measures in the landmark cultural event in promoting of the ongoing Middle Eastern and North African Islamic Awakening movement.
Ayatollah Kashani made the remarks in a meeting Tuesday with the TIBF President Bahman Dorri following an inspection of the book fair in the sixth day of the 10-day major international event, the TIBF press office reported.
The two also exchanged views about the necessity and possible ways of promotion of Hijab (Islamic code of clothing) as an element of decency in society.
The Friday prayers leader pointed to a series of promotional banners on the case of Hijab installed across the TIBF fairground, adding that the measure could be a starting positive move for any future cultural events nationwide.
Ayatollah Khashani believed that a comprehensive cultural coverage was needed for the expansion of Islamic Awakening and promotion of Islamic tenets among the nations, adding that the TIBF event was an effective step in this regard.
