Tehran International Book Fair is a Dynamic Event

On the sidelines of a meeting on the modernist and Nobel Prize winning poet, Pablo Neruda, hold yesterday afternoon (Thursday, May 4) in the International Hall, Fernando Bergonio, the Charge d'affaires of Chilean Embassy in Iran said, “Tehran International Book Fair is a dynamic and active event.”

The ceremony of introducing the modernist and Nobel Prize winning poet, Pablo Neruda, was hold yesterday afternoon (Thursday, May 4) on the second day of the 30th TIBF. On the sidelines of this meeting, in reply to the question of a journalist about the quality of the TIBF organization Fernando Bergonio, the Charge d'affaires of the Chilean Embassy in Iran said, “Tehran International Book Fair is a very dynamic and active event.” 
Then he continued, “I think this is the first time during the 30 years of the TIBF, that we are participating in it. I am personally impressed by both the quality of the book fair and the importance of the publishers attending the event. It is an honor to attend such a fair.”
Regarding the number of visitors to the Chile Stand, the Charge d'affaires of the Chilean Embassy indicated that, “The Chile Stand does have visitors and we liked to have books in Persian to present them in our stand. However, we had some brochures in Persian but not books.” He added that participation in this cultural event opens a window for the introduction of Chilean literature and culture.
