An MoU for publishing collaborations between Iran and Serbia was signed during the sixty second edition of the Belgrade Book Fair.
According to the Public Relations Department of ICFI, the MoU was signed in the presence of the Iranian Cultural Attaché, Mohsen Soleimani, the representative of ICFI and Vladislav Bajac, the Executive Manager of Geopoetika International Publishing House.
Collaborations and exchange of information between the publishers of the two countries as well as mutual efforts to exchange Serbian and Iranian works, while regarding international laws and regulations, are emphasized in this MoU. Based on the signed MoU, it is supposed that translation of 10 Iranian works into the Serbian language is supported through the Iranian Grant Programme.
Pointing out to the limited number of translators from Serbian into Persian, the Executive Manager of Geopoetika International Publishing House said, “We have translated around thirty literary works from Serbian into English. And some of them are also translated into French and German. Therefore, I suggest translation of those works into Persian as well. The odds are that translation of them into Persian is even easier. The Serbian Ministry of Culture will support these translations.”
