Russian publishers surprised at massive TIBF visitors

A senior Russian authority in charge of publication affairs says his country's representatives are surprised at the massive number of individuals inspecting Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF).
Deputy of Russian Federation Federal Agency in publication affairs, Vladimir Grigoriev made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy TIBF Chairman, Amir Mas'oud Shahramnia.
The Russian author expressed delight that he was visiting Iran for a first time, adding that Russians love books. He said every year up to 120 thousand books are published in Russia.
For his part, the deputy TIBF chairman greeted the Russian official and said there are capacities fort the two sides to conclude agreements for further exchanges, including the exchange of free of charge book stalls in time of book exhibition events.
The senior TIBF authority then offered the Russian side to have Iran invited to the next Moscow book fair as a special guest.
Shahramnia also said Iran was willing to use Russia's experience in the field of electronic publication.
