Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati says Tehran International Book Fair provides an opportunity for honoring authors.

The minister made the remarks in a closing ceremony for the landmark cultural event.

The senior authority said the landmark cultural event signals the cultural might of the Islamic Republic in publication affairs.

The minister said the world publication industry was evolving, adding that publishers must further pay attention to electronic books.

The minister also said Iran under the country's national vision must grab the first ranking in regional publication spheres.

The senior authority also called for a nationwide campaign to habituate the public to book reading.
