1915 domestic publishers complete procedures for book fair
Director of domestic publishers department in Tehran International Book Fair said 1915 publishers from home were registered in the book fair until April 18.
Mahmoud Salari told the book fair press office that until April 18, 2032 domestic publishers had applied for a space in the sections of general subject, children and youngsters, academic publication and training materials out of which 1915 are authorized to take part.
Out of the total publishers, 1184 have applied for general subjects section out of which 1125 were authorized to take a space.
Salari then spoke of 443 publishers of university materials of which 428 have their application procedures completed by the date.
Asked about the exact number of publishers in the sections of training materials and children and youngsters, the director said 279 publishers specialized in themes related to children and youngsters and 125 publishers specialized in training materials have applied for the book fair out of which 252 and 118 publishers respectively have met their application procedural regulations for the 23rd international book fair until April 18.
Salari noted that would be applicants were still welcomed in domestic section of book fair and that final tallies would be made public within the next few days.
