Every year Tehran Book Fair grows more magnificent - Armenian Ambassador

Grigor Araklian, Ambassador of Armenia in Tehran inspected the international section of Tehran Book Fair on Thursday May 6.

 
The envoy was satisfied that his embassy have had the chances to join four editions of Tehran International Book Fair.
 
Armenia however has yet to have any publisher to represent the country in the cultural event and a pavilion granted to the country in the fairground only has several Armenian journals on stalls.
 
The senior diplomat believed that Tehran Book Fair grew more magnificent every year elaborating by saying that every edition of the book fair saw a wider involvement by publishers, more pavilions and a stronger turnout by visitors than previous edition.
 
Araklian hailed Iran as cradle of civilization and culture, adding that a strong turnout in the book fair indicates an ardent desire on the part of the Iranian people in literature and knowledge.
 
The ambassador said during the four previous editions of book fair, pavilion of Armenian journals was accorded a good reception "highlighting cultural commonalities between Iran and Armenia."
 
In the same note, the envoy was pleased that many Armenian publications were translated into Persian, adding that the literary transfer attests to cordial ties between the two countries.
 
Araklian concluded his remarks by placing a premium on the major cultural event. "Tehran Book Fair figures in the global arena. It sets the grounds for a mutual familiarity between nations."
