City Council Chairman notes an ever-increasing welcome to book fair

Chairman of Tehran's Islamic City Council has said during an inspection of the 23^rd Tehran International Book Fair that a massive reception accorded by people to Tehran Book Fair attests to a deep-rooted noble culture in the body of society.

Mehdi Chamran said no other fair might receive the size of welcome the world over and that the number of visitors to Tehran book fair was widening every year.

"The very book fair coupled with a popular enthusiasm in book reading has led to a sizeable cultural transformation," the city official said.

He urged grasping the book fair opportunity in promotion of book reading habit.

"Any book must be duly studied so that it could produce the desired effects culturally and socially," the city council chairman urged.
