Public libraries to run a special shelf for Koran-related themes

Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will conclude an agreement with the Office of National Public Libraries on establishment of a subject library section for Koranic themes, according to head of Center for Coordination, Expansion and Promotion of Koranic Activities.

Hijjatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi added that for the purposes of Koranic activities, the Ministry has approved to establish several specialized libraries on Koran-related studies which offer all available publications in the field of Koran studies, paper- or digital style.

According to Mohammadi, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has another project afoot to encourage researchers in the field. Under the project, titled "Large Koranic Gates," the ministry will establish a special website with ad hoc features for activists in the field, including reciters, memorizers, and researchers.

All activists in the field, including overseas, are eligible to have access to the facilities.
