Tehran Book Fair, one stride ahead of other int'l events – Director of Swiss pavilion

Director of Switzerland's International Publishers Association described Tehran Book Fair as a fine opportunity for an interface between publishers and authors with their target audience, adding that the very presence of the association in Tehran event was a fruit of such an interface.

 
The Swiss publishing figure said the association has already been involved in 10 previous editions of the major Iranian cultural event, adding that his delegation has over 200 titles on show in the fair.
 
Gertafof said most of the Swiss publications deal with architecture as Swiss, unlike its small area of land, has held a major background in architecture, adding for instance that the Beijing sports stadium was designed and constructed by two Swiss architects.
 
The personality was pleased that Iranian students accorded a due welcome to the Swiss publications, adding the size of welcome was exceptional. "The association has already joined major international book fairs in London, South Africa, and Frankfurt however concerning the size of public visits, the Iranian event is a rarity," he elaborated.
 
He noted that his team was in Tehran event primarily to get information about people's likes and that the very contact was the best fruit of the Swiss involvement in the book fair.
