Culture, absolute priority for 10th administration - Vice president

Vice president in development, management and investment of human resources declared that culture and publishing sector are assigned a top place in the 10th administration's agenda.

 
Interviewed by the press office of Tehran International Book Fair, Lotfollah Foruzanda said that cultural and publishing affairs have turned into a major preoccupation for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cabinet, adding that the cabinet has recently decided to form a cultural commission, consisting of seven ministers, to tackle relevant issues.
 
"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will preside over the commission," he added.
 
The vice president said the cabinet has approved ad hoc ratifications for the publishing sector which will be made public during the year.
 
In the same regard, he then touched on a special attention accorded by the world public opinion to Iran's developments, adding that the government has decided to sponsor the publishing community.
