Sasan Tabasomi, an Iranian translator, termed Tehran International Book Fair event an opportunity for an interface between foreign publishers and Iranian translators.

Tabasomi also suggested that the undertaking of translation into and from foreign would be further facilitated once the Iranian publishing corps boost their contact with foreign booksellers and promote respect for the international copyright regime.

The French-Persian translator has joined the 23rd edition of Tehran Book Fair with his debut show translations of two novels, "Rue des boutiques obscures," by Patrick Modiano which was granted a Prix Goncourt award in 1975, and a revealing novel by Leila Shalaby, a French authoress about Romain Gary.

Tabasomi also has on stalls in the book fair reprints of his translations of two other novels, namely "Love, Again" by Doris Lessing, and "Dans le café de la jeunesse perdue," also by Patrcik Modiano.

The translations have been published by Afraz publisher.
