Ali Moallem Damqani, Head of Academy of Arts described the Islamic Republic was a companion of intellect and thought, adding that it was a key agendas item for the system to promote the intellectual and spiritual status of the public.

Moallem made the remarks to the press office of the 23rd edition of Tehran International Book Fair during an inspection to the major cultural event Thursday.

The cultural official appreciated a strong attendance of the youths in the book fair, adding that authors, poets and publishers must take advantage of the strong welcome and cater to the needs and demands of the young visitors, specially given to an existing campaign by virtual western media to deviate the Iranian young generation.

The national ode writer noted that in order to extend the Iranian cultural to a global audience, the Iranian publishing corps must first exercise a wider, newer and more objective attitude.

"The reality of life is to flow streams. A major welcome by the Iranians to the foreign section of the book fair indicates our appreciation of other nations as well as our interest in an exchange of information and culture," the poet reckoned.

Moallem is currently putting final touches on a collection of odes and poems to be later published under the title "broken to bits is a voice amid wind."
