Foreign publishers have until March 2 to apply for 24th TIBF

Foreign publishers have until March 2 to hand in their applications for the 24^th edition of the International Tehran Book Fair (TIBF), according to Ali Alipour, deputy TIBF in international affairs, who also said that about one hundred foreign publishers have already applied for the landmark cultural event.

 Alipour said the TIBF secretariat officially started late in mid December to receive applications for the 24^th edition for the book fair, adding that the number of would-be applicants is forecast to be more than 1500.

 Asked about how to obtain application forms for the international section of the fair, the deputy TIBF said such forms along with brochures about the fair are normally delivered following the Frankfurt book fair event to foreign institutes engaged in publication affairs as well as authors, translators and other cultural institutes.
