24th Tehran International Book Fair hosts foreign dignitaries

24th Tehran International Book Fair was hosting several dignitaries in the second day of the landmark cultural event.

 

Missions from foreign embassies in Tehran were among the dignitaries who toured different halls of the book fair and browsed titles on stalls, according to the book fair's press office.

 

Ibrahim Jafari, former premier of post-dictatorship Iraq, was another dignitary who upon an inspection of the international section of the book fair expressed delight that the section was set up in the fair, adding that foreign publishers can play a key role in cultural exchange between Iran and other countries.

 

Diplomats from German, Swiss and Armenia embassies were among other foreign dignitaries to tour the landmark cultural event in the second day of the 10-day fair.

 In the second day, the TIBF also hosted a 120-strong delegation from Iraq which was also received by the IRI Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Sayyed Muhammad
