A milestone report will be released on the records and statistics of the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair, Chief Executive Bahman Dorri told the book fair's press office, adding that the report will cover all the distinct features of the landmark cultural event.
The chief executive said the 24th TIBF showcased the solid national unity of the Iranian people and was a dramatic stride forward under the motto of "promotion of religious knowledge and cultural insight" in a year called Year of Economic Jihad.
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei designated the current Iranian year (starting March 21) as Year of Economic Jihad in a New Year Day speech in a bid to rally the nation for a major leap in economic arenas under the banner of Islam.
Mr. Dorri then touched on several distinct features of the 24th cultural event, saying that the 24th landmark event was distinct from any previous editions in that it concerned more than 4000 publishers from home and abroad for an 11-day period and awarded top publications of the past Iranian year.
Dorri also said the 24th edition remained to be a memorable performance for an ad hoc, large pavilion set up in the fairground in commemoration of the memory of the lady of Islam, Hadhrat Fatema Zahra (S.A.).
The 24th edition, the chief executive said, was also a boon as it was visited by more than 5.5 million people and witnessed more titles on stalls on religious themes.
The chief executive said the milestone report will tally the strong and weak aspects of the 24th event for the TIBF policy setting committee.
MR. Dorri thanked all bodies and personalities who gave a hand in the staging of the cultural show and said as of next week, a case will open for a next, 25th edition of the international event with a view to have a stronger than ever book show next year after a quarter of century from the date a first ever TIBF event was staged.
