Record 5.5 million people visited the 24th TIBF event

Record 5.5 million people have visited the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), Chief Executive Bahman Dorri told a closing ceremony of the landmark cultural event, staged on May 24, according to the book fair's press office.
The chief executive said the 24th TIBF showcased the solid national unity of the Iranian people and was a dramatic stride forward under the motto of "promotion of religious knowledge and cultural insight" in a year called Year of Economic Jihad.
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei designated the current Iranian year (starting March 21) as Year of Economic Jihad in a New Year Day speech in a bid to rally the nation for a major leap in economic arenas under the banner of Islam.
