Record 5.5 million people visited the 24th TIBF event

Record 5.5 million people have visited the 24^th edition of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), Chief Executive Bahman Dorri told a closing ceremony of the landmark cultural event, staged on May 24, according to the book fair's press office.

 

The chief executive said the 24^th TIBF showcased the solid national unity of the Iranian people and was a dramatic stride forward under the motto of "promotion of religious knowledge and cultural insight" in a year called Year of Economic Jihad.

 

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei designated the current Iranian year (starting March 21) as Year of Economic Jihad in a New Year Day speech in a bid to rally the nation for a major leap in economic arenas under the banner of Islam.
