TIBF President Bahman Dorri expressed hope that the 25th edition of Tehran International Book Fair would be remembered forever as milestone campaign in the history of Islamic Republic, the book fair’s press office reported Sunday.
Mr. Dorri made the remarks in a ceremony to unveil a memorial stamp and a memorial statute, both titled ‘a quarter of century of cultural Jihad (campaign)’ in a like-named marquee in the TIBF fairground dedicated to mark and review the 25th editions of the landmark cultural event.
The unveiling ceremony came in the fourth day of the ten-day landmark international event.
The TIBF president said the marquee was dedicated to honor any individuals whose hearts beat for the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that the marquee helps relive the sweet memoirs of the past editions of the book fair.
Also serving as deputy IRI Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mr. Dorri urged people to inspect the ‘quarter of century’ marquee and let the TIBF authorities know about their likely shortcomings and any poor performance.
The TIBF president then touched on immense numbers of inspectors visiting the book fair and said that the exceptional welcome was partly related to the fact that the TIBF authorities proceed to improve the book fair based on the experiences of the past editions.
