I.R. Iran invited as guest of honor to Beijing book fair

Acting President of the 28^th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), Amir Mas’oud Shahramnia has talked of a cultural Memorandum of Understanding with China under which the Islamic Republic of Iran would join the next edition of Beijing book fair as a guest of honor.

The MoU also designates China as guest of honor country in the Iranian cultural event, the TIBF’s press office quoted Shahramnia as saying on Friday.

Under the document, the two sides agreed to exchange free of charge pavilions and carry out joint ventures in translating Chinese and Persian books to and from one another.

The cultural agreement is set to be signed soon.

The TIBF authority also talked of another MoU with Iraq with similar agreements.
