Agreement on Publication of 25 Iranian Titles
Attended the 37th Istanbul International Book Fair as the representative of the Iranian publishing industry, Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute notified of agreements on publication of 25 Iranian titles.
The book fair kicked off on Nov. 10 and is still on. ICFI attends this edition of the Istanbul International Book Fair in a stand of 12 square meters. In addition to ICFI, Pol Literary agency is present in the Iranian stand. Based on the negotiations between Turkish and Serbian publishers and this agency, agreements were made to publish 25 Iranian titles in the mentioned countries.
According to the reports, contracts were signed with Damla, Zangin and Nar publishing houses from Turkey and Atopia from Serbia. The agreed titles are from Iranian publishers such as Cheshmeh, Shahrestan Adab, Zanbour, Ghadiani, Soureh Mehr, Ofoq, Mehrab Ghalam and Nardeban.
Other countries including Uzbekistan, Mexico, Italy, Azerbaijan, Ireland, etc. have shown interests for publishing Iranian titles. Preliminary negotiations are in progress in this regard.
On the second day of the book fair, Ms. Aygün –Manager of Foreign Fairs of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry- attended the Iranian stand and spoke with the person in stand's charge about participation in the TIBF.
