Thirty-fifth International Book Fair of Tehran started from this morning (May, 8th). In the period of the exhibition, more than three thousand publishers and bookstores are present in two attendance and non-attendance sections, and are meeting and interacting with their audience.
According to the news headquarters of the thirty-fifth international book fair of Tehran, The doors of Imam Khomeini Mosalla were opened at the enthusiasts of knowledge since 10 this morning, May, 8th, and the audience joined with the publishers.
The official opening ceremony of this period of the exhibition is also started from 3 P.M. today in Kushk, located in the Portico of Imam Khomeini Mosalla, with the presence of Mahmoud Esmaeili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, together with the cultural managers of the country and the book publishers.
In this period of the exhibition, more than three thousand publishers and bookstores are present in two attendance and non-attendance sections, and are meeting and interacting with their audience.
In this fair, more than 350 cultural programs including specialized meetings on various topics of publishing, criticizing and reviewing books, in addition to poetry reading, storytelling, literary gatherings, minstrelsy, stand-up comedy, Criticism of adapted films and etc. are also planned for the audience.
Two special programs will also be held at the thirty-fifth event. The first is the special program of Gaza and Palestine, which is seen as a sculptural work and symbolism for the preservation and memorial of the struggles of Gaza people; also various programs with the presence of cultural figures, academics and literati are being held on the subject of Palestine. The appreciation of publishers, writers and translators of Palestinian-related works is also another parts of this program.
The second program has been prepared on the occasion of coinciding with the decade of dignity, to protect the status and value of girls and women in the land of Iran, which the audience who take part in this fair would become aware of the details.
Thirty-fifth period of Tehran International Book Fair with the slogan "We Read, We Build" will take place from may 8th till may 18th, with an attendance section taking place in Imam Khomeini Mosalla and an online section exhibiting in ketab.ir .
