Ali Aghamohammadi, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, stated that "Hamid Hesam" is one of the most prominent fighters of the Sacred Defense era and said: "Hamid Hesam's stature is beyond commendation, as he has understood the position and greatness of human beings and is revealing and introducing the Transcendent Human Being through his various writings."

According to the news headquarters of the 35th Tehran International Book Fair, the ceremony honoring Professor Hamid Hesam, with a focus on the book "The Scourges of the Path," was held on the evening of Tuesday, May 15th, attended by Ali Aghamohammadi, Hamid Hesam, Golali Babaei, Masoud Amirkhani, and Javad Mohaqeq, among other writers and literary figures, at the Koshk-e Ketab.

Initially, Hamid Hesam referred to the birth of the book "The Scourges of the Path" and said: "This book was written on the recommendation of Martyr Ali Khoshlafz. When he advised me to write this book, I said, 'I do not associate with political figures because Aghamohammadi is a politician,' but Khoshlafz persuaded me, and today, after becoming familiar with the character of Ali Aghamohammadi, I regret my words and acknowledge my initial opinion about him was mistaken."

In his explanations about the book "The Scourges of the Path," he stated: "With a cursory glance after reading 'The Scourges of the Path,' the reader realizes that they are facing a political figure with numerous memories of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense. He was closely associated with prominent figures such as Martyr Ayatollah Madani and Mrs. Marzieh Dabbagh."

Representation of Characters

This writer, noting that Ali Aghamohammadi's narrative of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense is mystical in the style of Sheikh Shahab al-Din Suhrawardi, continued: "In this narrative style, the narrator holds the mirror to other characters and reflects them, creating a thirst in the audience to know them better, which was one of the factors that motivated me to write more of this book."

Hesam also referred to the media propaganda aiming to cleanse the Pahlavi era's image, stating that individuals like Parviz Sabeti are trying to present a distorted narrative of history. Regarding the title "The Scourges of the Path," he said: "Personally, I regret that we have not yet been able to cry out the sufferings and tortures inflicted by SAVAK on various individuals. In parts of the book, we witness some of Ali Aghamohammadi's memories of being tortured by someone with the same last name, Mohammadi. While being tortured by SAVAK, Aghamohammadi recites the elegy of Lady Fatimah (SA) and weeps, making the torturer happy, thinking he has made him cry. But he didn't know that Aghamohammadi was growing and nurturing a person. Under torture, Aghamohammadi found growth and spiritual development."

Presence of Great Personalities

Ali Aghamohammadi, a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, then explained why he narrated his memories of the revolution in headlines without going into details: "Honestly, although I have written about 100 notebooks of my memories, I still think I have nothing significant to offer. During a trip to Karbala, I met a martyr named Sajjad Zebarjadi. His grave is in section 50 of Behesht Zahra, and I found his friends and, after researching his life, realized how many great personalities surround us, and we have no narratives about them."

He emphasized that today's youth create everything from nothing and said: "I think people like Martyr Zebarjadi are much greater than us, and many such people exist in schools, neighborhoods, and streets around us, yet we have no narrative about them. If we do not narrate their stories and only focus on ourselves, we are doing an injustice."

Aghamohammadi reiterated that Hamid Hesam was one of the most distinguished fighters of the Sacred Defense era, saying: "Hamid Hesam's stature is beyond commendation because he has understood the position and greatness of human beings and has taken steps to reveal and introduce the Transcendent Human Being through his various writings."

In the end, "Hamid Hesam," a writer and researcher of the history of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense, was honored for his years of cultural efforts in literature, with the presence of Ali Aghamohammadi and Javad Mohaqeq, poet and writer.
