Iraq was designated as the Guest of Honor for the 36th Tehran International Book Fair

Mohsen Javadi, the Head of the Cultural Affairs Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, met with Ahmad Fakak Al-Badrani, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Iraq, on Monday (March 10, 2025), in this meeting, which was also attended by Ayoob Dehghan-Kar, scientific, cultural, and managerial advisor to the Cultural Affairs Department, Hojjatoleslam Gholamreza Abazari, the cultural attaché of Iran in Iraq, and a group of cultural managers from both countries, it was agreed that Iraq would participate as the Guest of Honor at the 36th Tehran International Book Fair.

Additionally, the parties emphasized the need to strengthen cultural interactions and to expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of publishing and books.

The 36th Tehran International Book Fair, with the motto "Let's Read for Iran," will be held from May 7 to May 17, 2025, at Imam Khomeini Mosalla.
