“Read for Iran” Grand Prize for Visitors of the Tehran Book Fair

The “Read for Iran” Grand Prize is being held on the sidelines of the 36th Tehran International Book Fair to promote a culture of reading and support book purchases.

Mazaher Babaei, Deputy of Books and Culture at the Iran Book and Literature House, told the press office of the 36th Tehran International Book Fair that this event is designed for all visitors who own a smartphone. He stated:
“The ‘Read for Iran’ Grand Prize, as a significant initiative to promote reading culture, not only helps raise public awareness and knowledge but also motivates people to read, nurturing a new generation of readers.”

He added:
“Every day, 500 million tomans in book purchase vouchers will be awarded to 500 participants, creating strong motivation for public participation. This initiative benefits both readers and the book market, including publishers. Those interested can visit vaka.ir for more information.”

The Deputy further noted that registration for the prize is done through the vaka.ir application. People can visit the vaka.ir platform and register with their phone number to enter the contest.

According to him, the event includes four steps for full participation, and a live daily draw is held at 7 PM at the Publishing Technologies Hall of the Book Fair.

The 36th Tehran International Book Fair began on May 6 and will run until May 16, 2025, under the slogan “Let’s Read for Iran” at Imam Khomeini’s Mosalla. Alongside the in-person exhibition, a virtual version is also available at book.icfi.ir for those who wish to purchase books online.
