
What happened during the President's visit to the Tehran Book Fair?

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, visited the 36th Tehran International Book Fair this morning, Friday, May 16, and engaged in conversations with publishers and those active in the publishing industry.
According to the press center of the 36th Tehran International Book Fair, President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the exhibition at Imam Khomeini Mosalla on the morning of Friday, May 16.
During this visit, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Mohsen Javadi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Head of the Book Fair; Ebrahim Heidari, Deputy Director and Spokesperson of the Fair; and Mehdi Esmaeili-Rad, Deputy of Publisher Affairs, accompanied the president as he toured various sections of the fair.
President Pezeshkian visited the booths of several publishers including Cheshmeh, Aryana Ghalam, Parseh Books, Sales, Sokhan, Nasl-e Noandish, Hermes, Boostan-e Ketab, Negah, Ettela’at, the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, Sureh Mehr, Shahed, Sadra, Artesh's Atashbar, and Orouj Publishing. He engaged in discussions with the publishers present.
The 36th Tehran International Book Fair is being held from May 6 to May 16, 2025, under the slogan "Let’s Read for Iran," at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla. Alongside the in-person event, a virtual version is also available on the platform book.icfi.ir, allowing book enthusiasts to make online purchases.
