Expansion of Persian language, script in digital media

Department of Expansion of Information Technology and Digital Media in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has set up a pavilion in the 23^rd Tehran International Book Fair in a bid to provide necessary grounds for generation and expansion of digital contents which comply with indigenous, national and Islamic values.

The department operates in two separate main and lateral sections in the book fair, undertaking to promote Persian language and script in computer-based environment and digital devices. It is also commissioned to set up contact with international center of digital media.

The department has put on stalls more than 50 top software products, selected from previous editions of "international digital media fair and festival," in its pavilion in the lateral activates section.

The department activities in the main section are classified under such categories as websites and weblogs, mobile phone software, media software, computer games and digital arts.
